Our main focus is on healthy vineyards, therefore we are already working for years as close to nature and as gentle as possible. Since our harvest of the year 2016 our wines are officially labelled as organic.
The vineyards are densely populated in order to achieve a healthy competition among the plants. We try to keep the crops low on purpose. Quantity never comes before quality. Intensive soil and leaf work guarantee best ripening conditions for the grapes. The vines are in the best age – some up to 40 years, therefore really “old vines”.
For 5 years we are producing our own compost made of horse dung and pomace, which is later brought to the vineyards again. Because of our own compost we completely covered our demand of artificial fertilizer with raw materials provided by nature.
